Hotmail issues

Monday, February 27, 2006 9:42 PM

To anyone that might have sent me a support email over the last two weeks from Hotmail, I apologize.  CrystalTech has been having issues sending mail to Hotmail and unfortunately the issue hasn't been resolved yet.  Please take my assurances that I will respond to you just as soon as my mail servers will allow and I apologize for any inconvenience.  I am already investigating alternative hosting providers in the eventuality that CrystalTech fails to get this fixed soon.

Update 2006-02-28 12:53PM: I just got of the phone with CrystalTech and I am very much less than impressed with them at this point.  They're basically saying this is all Hotmail's fault, but that they might have a fix in two weeks or so.  This is completely unacceptable, so I'm looking for a new hosting provider now.

Update 2006-04-12 8:03AM: This issue has finally been resolved and I can send email to Hotmail again.

Currency Converter 2005 v1.2 Released

Currency Converter 2005 v1.2

Currency Converter 2005 v1.2 has been retooled to use the conversion rates web service at webservicex.com. This update now uses drop downs to select the valid currency abbreviations on the get rates screen instead of using country names, further eliminating confusion about supported currencies. The list of supported countries is also listed on a third tab in the application.

Download Currency Converter 2005 v1.2 from my Windows Mobile Software page or from Handango.

Valentine's Weekend

Wednesday, February 15, 2006 7:54 AM

This past weekend Andrea was out here visiting for Valentine's.  On Friday we went to lunch with my sister who was back from New Jersey and then Friday night we went out with a bunch of my friends at Big Bill's NY Pizza before going to a Balboa lesson and dancing at the Turnverein.

Saturday we spent almost the entire day at the Turnverein for the dance workshops.  We learned a lot and had a lot of fun.  For lunch we went to Chedd's in Denver which is a very highly rated gourmet grilled cheese restaurant.  For dinner I made gnocchi in a sage apple cider butter sauce which was very good too.  After dinner we went back to the Turnverein for a night of dancing.

Sunday we were pretty lazy but we did go to Bed Bath & Beyond to begin our wedding registry.  After that we went over to my mom's to hang out with my mom, stepdad, grandparents, and sister since Heather's flight back to Newark had been cancelled.  After that we went and had a wonderful Valentine's dinner at the Melting Pot.

Monday morning was an early morning as we had to have Andrea at DIA by 7:45am.  She ended up getting bumped from her original flight but managed to get a free round trip ticket from United for getting into Buffalo a whole 2 and a half hours later than originally scheduled.
